Opus 40 which is quiet amazing

There is the Ashokan Reservoir (New York Drinking water) if you like walking and maybe catch a glimpse of the resident bald headed eagles
Tibetan Buddhist Monastery at the mountain – they sometimes have tours on the weekends at 1pm or 1:30-(you take the road in the middle of Woodstock – Rock City Road, and that will take you to the top of the mountain) also there is a trail to the top of Overlook, quiet a steep walk, but once you get to the top, and it is a nice day you have an amazing view.
Olana – This is about an hour away but very unique: – Frederick Edwin Churches’s house
Saugerties– and Rhinebeck that has quiet a few historic places, it area across the river is also lovely, There is also the Waterfront in Kingston – Kingston is actually a very old town.
